BABAN 144Pcs Watch Back Case Holder Review

The BABAN 144Pcs Watch Back Case Holder is a decent watch repair kit once you do some research and lookup what each tool is for, what it can do and how to use it. Guess that helps keep the price down by not writing any instruction. You can look at the pictures on the Amazon webpage to, at least to see what each tool is called and maybe what it is used for.

Other than that, these are a mixed bag of tools and some seem well built and others seem a little plastic and cheaply built. First thing out of the nylon carrying bag was the link remover tool and the bit that was in it was bent. Going to have to see if I can straighten it out before I can even try to use it. Good thing it comes with spare pins.

Some of the other tools like the case opener, screwdrivers, pin punch, spring pins and spring bar tool are made from all metal and seems well built and should last and work with no problems. Between these and the nylon carrying case with a zipper to keep all this together and make this very portable, I think the price matches what you get.

I have my grandfather’s old gold watch but the band it broke and I wanted to see if I could salvage it and fix the band. It’s the only thing I have of his, so I bought this tool kit to see if this will work or not. I also liked the idea of being able to take the backs off other watches and replacing the battery myself. I hate spending $20-$30 to get a new watch battery.

Overall, I think this kit is worth it if you want to work on a watch or two. Yea, you have to do a little leg work and look somethings up but its not that hard and you won’t use all these tools for the most part unless you really get into watch repair.
