Finether Minimalist Novelty Romantic Wood Table Lamp Review

Finether Minimalist Novelty Romantic Wood Table Lamp is just what I needed for next to my wife’s computer on her computer center. I bought it for the end table next to my bed but looks and works better here now.

The computer center is in the den next to the family room and anytime someone is on the computer and has the overhead light on in the den, it bothers anyone that is in the living room watching TV.

Now with this light, you can turn this on and not the overhead light and there is plenty of light to use the computer and keyboard and not bother anyone in the next room.

This light did ship from China and took a beating during the shipment and the box was pretty beat up when it arrived. The box itself if lined with one inch Styrofoam and protected the light pretty well. The lamp shade did have a couple of creases in it on one side but not too bad. Just put that one side in the back of the lamp and you don’t even see it.

The shade does need to be put on the base using a plastic ring that screws onto the light on the base to hold the shade in place. Add a 40-watt light bulb and you are good to go. The shade provides an enough diffusion of the light to make it a nice soft romantic type light and not a bright overpowering type light.

The only thing I would change about this light, and it’s more of a personal preference, is the place of the on/off switch on this. This might work well for the side of the bed but not where I have it. The switch is on the power cord, which is fine, but it’s more towards the plug end and not towards the light more so it lays on the ground and is harder to reach that way. I actually have the cord under the lamp base for now in order to keep the switch up next to the light to turn it on and off. If not it falls behind the computer center and you can’t reach it. I need to buy something to hold the cord to keep it on top of the computer center going forward.

The cord itself is a really nice braided cloth or nylon material and is pretty nice and solid. It’s not a normal plastic two wire electric cord like on most lights.

Overall, this is a really nice light and I like it and would recommend it to anyone needing one like this.
