Honstek K7 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker Review

The Honstek K7 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker came in a nice black box with the name and picture of the speaker on the front and the specs on the back. In the box is the speaker, charging cord (mini plug), 3.5mm audio cable and instructions. The speaker itself looks nice and sleek with the silver edge around the speaker. Makes it look a nice, elegant and high-end speaker.

The instructions are complete, cover all the different operations, straightforward and easy to understand.

This speaker does ask you to pair when you first turn it on each time until it connects and then it will tell you it’s connected. The voice is a female voice that sounds Asian and speaking English and is a little comical to listen to with the accent. The buttons on top also light up when you turn this speaker on, using the on/off switch on the back of this. Not sure why it’s not with the other buttons on top, but it works where it is.

The speaker took less than an hour to charge the first time and has lasted a very long time (over 4 hrs. and counting) on a single charge. The description says 6-8 hours of playtime. I would assume this depends on the level of the volume being played. It connected to my SG6 cell phone the first time and without any problems. Automatically connects now anytime I turn the speaker on and want to use it. This speaker is only 6.3 x 1.2 inches big, so you can’t expect too much.

The buttons on the top are easy to operate and easy to push. It’s also nice to have an expandable mini TF card slot to be able to play or transfer my own music and be able to switch back and forth between my music and Spotify whenever needed or you can use the 3.5 audio cord and connect whatever device you wish to play music through this speaker.

I do wish this had an app I could download or one of the buttons I could press would tell me how much battery was left so I knew when to charge it before it runs out on my next use or I could operate it from the app.

The sound out of this little speaker is surprisingly loud and is pretty good but pushes it at the max volume depending on what type music you listen to. The sound is a little better if you have an equalizer app on your phone and adjust the sound.

If you want this for a party or a room filled with people or noise, it should work if you just want to hear the music. This will not rock things off the shelves but works to hear music and answer a call if needed.

I would recommend this to family and friends for anyone looking for a nice, easy to use, compact Bluetooth Speaker.
