I work on a lot of laptops for friends and family and sometimes they just don’t want them anymore or don’t want to spend the money to fix them. I end up keeping them, fixing them and normally giving them away.
The last one I had was dropped and needed a new screen, but the battery was also not lasting very long and was normally left plugged in all the time and the owner decided there may be more damage than it was worth and told me to keep it. I bought an old used screen online and replaced that and found the OMBAR New Laptop Battery for Dell Inspiron online and bought that as well. It is just what I needed for this old laptop.
This new battery was priced pretty low and is built just as well as the original battery. This battery is only a 5200mah and is good for about 2-4 hours of work based on your display and power settings. There are bigger batteries out there at 7800mah that last twice as long, but they are also twice the price.
This battery works just as well as the original and costs a quarter of the price that these used to cost from Dell. You can’t even get this battery from Dell anymore.
Overall, this a is a great battery for the price and worth buying if you need one.
