I
originally bought the LANGRIA Contoured Cooling Gel Pad Memory Foam Pillow for
myself but have since gave it to my wife to use. The wife bought some other
foam pillows and they are not shaped like this pillow and feel like a rock to
sleep on. I sleep on my back with a c-pap machine and wanted something
contoured and that was cooler than normal pillows or foam pillows.
But
now the wife is hitting that age where she is always hot and complaining that
it’s not cold enough in the bedroom at night, which is always at 70 degrees, so
I gave her this pillow to see if that would help her sleep.
So
far so good. She likes that it is shaped well and the one side is higher than
the other and seems to hold her neck in a better angle (she always slept with
two pillows and her chin in her chest before) and likes the cooling pad and
isn’t waking up as much at night feeling hot and having to turn her pillow over
and kick the blankets off anymore.
This
pillow is a medium hardness so it is firm but has some give and cushion when
you rest your head on it. Nothing like the old foam pillows she bought earlier.
Now I wish I had it back and could use that cooling gel pad because I have
always been hot and sleep with a fan on every night. Guess it’s time to buy
another one now.
I
actually measured this pillow because the picture on the website makes it look
small, but really is the size that is posted in the heading on Amazon. This is
21.7 x 13.4 inches.
There
is also a zipper on the cover of this pillow that allows you to take it off and
wash it if needed. The wife has comes and goes on having another pillow case
over this one. Guess it depends if she is hot or not and wants the gel pads
more or less at night.
I
think this pillow overall for the size, gel pad and contour of the pillow, is
well worth the price to get a goodnight sleep.
