Auto Courtesy Welcome Logo Shadow Lamp Laser Projection Magnet Sensor (Superman) Review

My kids say I am a big kid and I have been upgrading my car and have installed LED blue interior lights with multi-color LED floor lights with remote, LED blue trunk light, LED tail lights, Red laser rear fog light, along with red skull tire valve caps and double skull license plate covers with red eyes that light up when the lights are on. So, I thought why not a Superman LED car door courtesy light as well to add to the mix.

These come in a nice box with the two projectors (with 3M tape on back), two magnets, 3M tape and six AAA batteries. The projectors are pretty small at around 2.5 inches square and about .5 inches thick. This couldn’t be any easier to install unless you had some else do it for you.

The trick is to get the projector and the magnet lined up as well as getting the logo to shine in the best place and aligned right. So a lot of this depends on your car and the slope and inside of your car doors. These may not work on all cars, trucks or SUV’s based on this and the shape of your door trim.

I did this at dusk so I could see the logo on the ground better, so I could get it lined up and looking its best when turned on. This also made it still light enough, I could see in the car to get the magnet in the right place. I did a dry run and held everything in place without using the 3M tape to start with so I could get it all figured out before sticking it in place. 3M tape is great and hard to get off once stuck to something but at the same time it doesn’t like to stick real well after being ripped off of something either.

These projectors are small, but you still have to think about how you get in and out of your car and where to locate this so you don’t knock it off getting in and out of your car everyday multiple times. With that said, there is an on/off switch on the top of each one of these projectors and you may want to turn these off during the day or when you don’t really want them to be seen (not sure when that is, maybe when the wife is in the car?) so they don’t turn on and waste the batteries. Yea, you can still see the logo during the day but it’s not that noticeable as it is at night.

I think everyone should get one of these just for the cool factor. Doesn’t have to be Superman, they have Batman or others and most car manufacture logos if you want those instead. Pull the trigger and buy it, I did and I like it.
