KOAMILY Mini Cam Hidden Spy Camera Review

The KOAMILY Mini Cam Hidden Spy Camera is a really small HD camera at 1.77x.86x.62 inches. It’s amazing how small everything is getting at both size and price. There are other spy cameras that are a little smaller, cost more and do record at 1080P, but this one is still pretty good at 720P.

This tiny camera has full HD at 1208x720P video with infrared for night vision, a microphone, and a rechargeable battery that can record up to 150 minutes on the 8 GB micro card (TF card) that comes with it. The card is a nice added bonus other don’t come with. You can go bigger on the card, but 32 GB is the biggest you can use in this. They recommend you use an SDHC4 micro SD card for this camera if you are buying a different one. This also comes with a wall mounting bracket, mini-b USB cable, and instructions.

The instructions are in choppy and broken English and not easy to read or follow and I think covers all the buttons and operations of this camera. Reading this is pretty hard and it’s been a lot of trial and error on getting this to work and what to do to make it work under the different modes. Since everything is based on the color of the LED light and how many times it flashes or what color it stays in, this is a little hard to comprehend what mode you are in and if it’s even recording or not.

It’s only got two buttons. One for the mode and the other for on/off. Other than that, there is the TF card slot and mini-b USB plug port.

You can also set this up to record when it sees motion and also to loop the video if needed and write over any previous video if you wish, that way it doesn’t stop when the card is full. Continuous videos are saved every 5 minutes and audio is saved every 15 minutes automatically so you don’t lose anything if something was to happen.

The TF card on this is a little different than others I have used, as this one is more normal and is spring loaded like most are. So to get this out once in, you just push it in a little and let go and it will pop up and you can pull it out. Others I had, you had to just slide it in and out manually using your finger nail.

This small camera really does take some pretty good and amazing video. Weather you use this hidden or not, it’s a really nice camera and works well. I just wish the instructions were better and helpful. Taking one star off for that.
