The GLISTENY 6 LED Solar Powered Wireless PIR Motion Sensor Wall Light is a great replacement for a 10 watt motion detection light that I used to have by my hot tub to help me see the deck steps when coming and going to the hot tub at night. I liked the old light but it kept coming on when you were in the hot tub since I had it up on the fence and I put the new Glisteny lights down on the steps, so that is no longer a problem.
This light is great and easy to install and operate. Use the
included key pin to activate the batter, remove the protective film on the
solar panel and install where you want them either using the 3M tape or the
screw that came with it. Took a whole minute to install, maybe.
Once in place, hopefully some place it will get direct sunlight
during the day, at night it will illuminate in low until it senses motion and
then it will be in bright mode and all the LED lights will light up. These are
pretty bright and light up all of my steps and make it very easy to see at
night.
I decided the one light is enough to light up the five steps
leading to my hot tub, so I took the other light and placed it on the other set
of steps heading to the garage. Between these two lights, I have all my steps
lit up and feel much safer walking up and down them now. I couldn’t tell you
how many times I jammed my knee and fell down the steps thinking I was at the
bottom and really there was one more step left, well not any more.
For the size, brightness and cost or these lights, they are well
worth it. LED lights are great. They are not only brighter, but use less energy
and are cheaper to operate and don’t get hot light other bulbs do. Talking
about bulbs, with LED there are no bulbs to replace or deal with. I didn’t see
anything that stated how long these last, but typically LED lights last between
50,000 – 60,000 hours, so about ten years. That is a lot of normal bulbs that
you are saving in cost.
I like these lights and if I need anymore, I would buy these
again.
