The GLISTENY Night Light Body Sensor Light is one of a kind. It’s a night light that comes on when motion is detected so you can see at night without having to turn on all the bright lights in the house, an early power outage warning light and it’s also an emergency flashlight when needed.
This one is so much cooler than other rechargeable flashlights I have had. Most you can overcharge them by leaving them plugged in so you have to unplug it when charged and remember to recharge it every few weeks so it’s charged when you need it. Not this light, it’s smart enough to stop charging when it’s full so you never have to unplug it.
This light at 5.31x2.63 inches is small enough to fit and look good on the wall plugged in, but big enough to light up the room or area when needed when the nightlight or flashlight is on. The only bad thing is this will take up both plug spaces in a normal wall outlet and you won’t be able to use anything else in that outlet when this is plugged it to it. I can use the other plug, but need to push this up or remove the light from the cradle to get another plug in the outlet when needed.
The PIR sensor is pretty sensitive and will detect motion about 10-15 feet away depending on the angle you are compared to where the light is. The light will also turn back off after not sensing motion for 20 seconds as well. The light does tend to turn off when you are still in the room and you need to move again to get it to turn back o.
I love that this plugs in and has a rechargeable battery in it. A lot of other lights like this that I have been looking at require 4 AAA batteries and I would guess not last very long if the light came on all the time.
This light only comes on when it is dark and senses if there is enough light on or not and will not work if there is light unless you take it off the cradle and turn the flashlight on.
There is a switch on the back you can move that changes the light from full bright to half bright if you choose to do that and the light will turn red when there is no power to the light, so you will know when there is a power outage as well.
For a night light/flashlight that is always ready when you need it and turns itself on and off, this is a great light and I really like it. You should get one if you think you may need one down the road or this would make a great gift if needed.
