Urgod Electronic Plug-in Ultrasonic pest repeller Review

The Urgod Electronic Plug-in Ultrasonic pest repeller is awesome or that is what I want to say. This is one of those products that it’s hard to tell if it’s working or not. Looks like it is or is it getting cold out and they are just leaving or hibernating? Won’t know I guess until spring and summer hit again.

In the box are the repeller and the instruction. Not that you need instruction. Just plug this in and it works. There are three indicator lights on the front of the unit. Green for the power, yellow for the electromagnet and red for the ultrasonic. If it’s on, it’s working. There is also a night light built into it and is nice to have to depend on where you have this placed.

I bought this because of the normal household bugs most people have (spiders, ants, ladybugs, stink bugs, flies, mosquitoes, Etc.) but I also have crickets in the basement and my cats are always bringing them up and playing with them, eating them or just giving them to us. It needed to stop and this did the trick.

My house is a 2 ½ story house with a basement and about 1800 square feet in size. I used this in the basement. They state the ultrasonic part of this covers 2700 square feet but actually only covers one room.

I really like how easy this is to use and the three LED light on the front of this telling that they are working when it’s plugged in. I know the instructions say that cats don’t like this, but I bought it anyway thinking my outside one doesn’t bother them. Well, I was wrong. When you press the button and turn on the electromagnet, it not only bothers the cats but the wife and I as well. As soon as I turned that on, the wife was yelling what is that sound. Turned that off real quick. Not sure why they would make something that both animals and humans can hear? Maybe you turn that on when you leave the house for a while?

Not sure how long this will last and keep on working, but for now I have my basement back with no insects in the basement. Really hoping they keep the stink bugs out all winter, as I get real tired of catching that every day over the cold months when they all want in the house. We will also see if these keep the ants out in the springtime as well.

The only downfall to this repeller is that it is only good for one room because it doesn’t go around corners, walls or other objects so you need to buy more than one if needed in more rooms. They also recommend you place this at certain heights for certain bugs. That’s not so easy to do since most outlets are a foot off the floor.

Overall, for the few days, I have used this. I think this works well. For the people that say they don’t work, maybe give it a little more time? Just don’t turn on the electromagnet when you are going to be home.
