The Floureon A3 4K 30FPS 16MP Ultra HD Action Camera is awesome and almost as good at the GoPro and about 10x less in cost and this comes with all the extras that the GoPro doesn’t come with. There is no reason to buy a GoPro anymore for the daily person. The quality of this camera and accessories are top notch and work very well for people on a budget. I wouldn't call this another GoPro killer that has hit the market, but it is good.
I have always wanted an action camera like this, but could never afford one until these lesser known brands came out. I have a chest belt that this will fit on that I have been using my cell phone to get pictures and video and that is no comparison to the video and pictures this camera can take in 4k and 16MP 1080p HD and has a 2 inch LCD viewing screen to boot.
The video on this is ok at 4k, 2.7k and 1080p but those are only at 30fps and look a little fuzzy around the edge of the frame depending on the distance and angle of the video or I have gotten a green screen flash across the screen when the action is too fast. Like it can’t keep up. The 1080p at 60fps and the 720p at 120fps look much better with a clear picture across the whole frame. I think if this is stationary, everything looks and works well but works better at a lower resolution when moving or there is a lot of action.
The manual is in English, easy to read and follow and covers all aspects of using the camera, buttons, menus and even gives you combination picture examples of how to piece some of the mounts together and their possible uses. Great idea to include these. I had no idea how to use all these mounts and brackets that came with this.
I still can’t believe it came with all these accessories and the waterproof case for the price of this. You have about every mount you could need unless you need something special or unique. I do wish it had the floating handle mount, but you can get one for 5-10 bucks. The other good part about these accessories is if you already have a GoPro, all the accessories, except the waterproof case fit and work with the GoPro as well. It also comes with a rechargeable battery and the mini cable to charge it with.
This thing is waterproof up to 98 feet, not that I will be going nowhere near that depth, but it’s nice to know if you need it, and I should have no problems for where I go. The WiFi remote control is also awesome and a great feature for using this camera once you download the app and install it on your phone or tablet.
The only thing missing on this is the memory card and I am surprised they didn’t include that. I picked up the biggest card this would hold at 64 GB for $18. Make sure you get at least a class 10 or better high-speed card, so it can keep up with the recording speed of this camera. The only thing I can think of that would make this better, would be if it came with two or more batteries and a battery charger.
The app itself is a little slow and buggy sometimes and could use a little work and maybe the one weak point of this camera experience but defiantly not a show stopper with everything else this camera has going for it.
I love all the different recording options you have with this camera. With time-lapse, slow motion, timed, drama shot and loop recording, there is something that will work for everything.
This also comes with a driving mode and can replace a cheap dash cam or be your new dash cam for your daily commute back forth to work or while you are out on the weekends. There are a lot of idiots out there nowadays on the roads and best to have a video and audio in case something ever would happen. It takes such a great video that you should be able to see all the license plates in front of you if needed when viewing later on my PC.
I can’t say much more about this Floureon camera, except if you are wanting or needed a waterproof action camera, this one works very well and for the price is a steal.
