AUSDOM AD282 Car Dash-Cam Review

The AUSDOM AD282 Car Dash-Cam comes in a plain brown box with the Dashcam, 16GB TF Card, power cord, cigarette light adapter (power plug), Mini USB cable, window mount, DVD with video instructions and paper user manual.

You should watch the video in the DVD first before reading the instructions or doing anything with this dash cam as it covers all the buttons, features and what they do and how they work and will make reading the instruction and operating this so much easier, good job on the video instructions. This is the first dash cam that comes with both a DVD and includes the TF card. I have two others that didn’t come with these.

The manual is in English and covers all of the buttons and features of this dash cam. They are very easy to read and follow but lack a lot of detail that is in the video. You will have to play with this a little to get working correctly as not all functions are explained on how to set up or not to turn them on or off. It’s not very hard to go thru the menu and find stuff and turn it on and off. Even with that, this also took me less than 10 minutes to set this up and get recording.

The dash cam itself is very small and light weight at about 2.25 inches long by 2.5 high and maybe an inch thick (little smaller than my other two). Looks so much bigger on the website hanging on people’s windows, but for such a little device has a lot of features with the full 1296P HD at 30 FPS with 130-degree viewing angle horizontally and 150 diagonally, emergency recording mode (accident or bump mode), auto recording with motion. This little thing has it all and is small enough that it is out of the way when driving.

With a 2.4 LCD screen and big buttons, this dash cam is easy to see and operate both in and out of the car. This comes with a 16 GB SD card and that will work, but if you want to keep and store more videos for longer before they get overwritten, this will take up to a 64GB card, That is what I am using. You can get one for about $16, so cheap and well worth it.

The video and audio on this are really good for such a small dash cam. The audio on this picks up everything in the car, so watch your mouth and don’t say anything you wouldn’t want your mom to hear. The Ambarella A7L50+OV4689 lens on this is amazing, clear and crisp and is defiantly DVD quality.

You may not be able to see or read all the license plates in front of you, unless you are stopped and within maybe 25 feet of them, but everything else looks pretty amazing and there is also the date and time stamp on the video (if you desire and set it up) as well, so you know when it was taken if needed and if you want it, you can also set up the drivers name in it as well if you want that on the video as well.

This is my third dash cam and I like it the best out of the three I have so far. There may be better ones out there, but this does what I need and for the price, is an excellent dash cam for anyone wanting one.
