The EBL rechargeable AA batteries are just fun and great to look at as far as batteries go. The festive tropical colored batteries are different compared to all the other batteries out there that have the same look and color on all the batteries. This makes it easier to tell which batteries are dead and need recharged and which ones are full and ready to go. I hate having a pile of batteries and not knowing what is charged or not.
These batteries are at the top end of having the best energy with 2500mAh compared to others that are lower. Some of the others may get you more charging cycles than the 1200 these offer, but most people will never recharge their batteries nowhere near that amount. If you charged these twice a week, it would take you a little over 11.5 years to use the 1200 cycles these batteries offer.
The best rechargeable batteries out there are the low self-discharging batteries made out of Nickel-metal hydride and guess what, these are one of them. These can hold a charge, that after 3 years of not using them, they still have 75% of their charge left.
These types of batteries have a lot going for them and normally come fully charged like their counterparts the alkaline battery because they hold their charge over months and years compared to regular Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. These are great in low-draining devices like flashlights and remotes but are ideal for devices that just drain the batteries faster than you can charge them like that new drone’s remote you just got that takes six AA batteries or your wife’s new digital camera that takes four AA batteries, because these batteries will outperform and outlast normal alkaline batteries.
These batteries do take a few hours to charge and don’t reach their full potential until used and discharged and recharged four or five times, but they will outlast and outperform all the normal alkaline batteries out there as well as a lot of the other rechargeable batteries out there.
I haven’t had these for that long and can’t speak for the longevity of these batteries years down the road, but for now, at this time, these are a great 2500 mAh rechargeable battery that anyone would be happy with owning and using. Not to mention, these come in a hard plastic storage/carrying case that helps protect them and keep them all in one place so you can find them when you need them. No other battery I have gotten, ever came in their own storage case.
