The Smart Weigh Premium Dual Platform Kitchen Scale with 200g Calibration Weight is a very nice high-end kitchen plastic and stainless steel scale that not only looks good, but has very accurate reading and can be changed to weigh in lbs/oz, g, oz, fl oz, ml, kg at a push of a button.
This scale at 10.1 x 7.4 inches is small enough to store anywhere but big enough to weigh just about anything. The large scale can weigh things between .0022 to 22 pounds and the small scale can weigh things between .01 gram (way too small in pounds) to 300 grams (.66 pounds). So most of your weighing will be done on the bigger platform unless you need to weigh say, individual pieces of something, like fruit or vegetables.
This runs off 3 AAA batteries that are included and they get inserted on the back side of this scale. I normally use slow discharging rechargeable batteries in devices like this because they last for months before needing to be recharged but will use the supplied ones until they run out.
I wish this had a low battery indicator on the big and easy to read LED screen that this thing has but it doesn’t. There is also an auto-off to save the batteries when not being used for 120 seconds. You have no problem reading a weight on the LED screen. It is also reverse backlit so again, it is easy to ready in any lighting.
This could be any easier to use. Turn it on, place your container on the scale, press the tare button (there are two, one for each scale, so pick the correct one) and place what you want to weigh in the bowl and get a weight reading. As a bonus and the only scale, I have seen that comes with it, they also include a 200-gram calibration weight to help keep this scale as accurate as it can get.
There are four buttons on this, the on/off, two tare buttons and the weight conversion button. You can push the tare buttons at any time to reset and balance the scale back to zero when needed.
A great kitchen scale for all those people weighing all their food when they are cooking everything up on Sunday for the week ahead. Been there and done that and wouldn’t mind doing it again now that I have this scale.
This is a very nice, accurate and good looking scale that feels and looks like a very high-end kitchen scale, but is very reasonable in price for this nice of a kitchen scale. Spend the extra money and get something worth getting.
