I’ve been
wanted something to sharpen my serrated knives (bread knife & steak knives)
and gave this a try and it does work on a serrated knife. This also works great
on all my other knives and scissors as well.
My old
sharpener had two slots for coarse and fine sharpening and worked great for the last couple of years but is getting worn out, didn’t do serrated knives, and I
needed a replacement.
This is simple to
change to the four different slots to use, hold on to while using it, and
sharpen any knife I have. I have a very nice set of knives for my kitchen and I
like to keep them as sharp as possible and this is doing a great job so far. I
always hand wash and dry all my knives right after using any of them, so they
should last a long time.
The rubber on
the handle and bottom of this also help you hold on to it and stop it from
slipping or sliding across the counter as you sharpen the knife. The included cut the resistant glove is nice and should help if you do slip and drag the knife
across your hand, while you are doing this or could be anytime you are using a
knife in general?
My bread and
tomatoes no longer get pressed down or squashed when I go to cut them my steak
and chicken are like cutting butter and effortless. A sharp knife does make a
very big difference.
