PowerSmart DB2805 24-inch 80v Cordless Electric Snow Blower

 

This was my next purchase in my plan to move from gas to electric on all my tools now that I am getting older. Once I couldn’t get my gas blower to start this year, it was time for the change. Being the same size as my old one at 24-inches but a little smaller in length with no engine, it fits in my garage a little better. This is so much easier to set up, get running, and use than a gas one. With no old gas, oil, spark plug, choke and flooding the engine to worry about.

 It does take a couple of hours to charge this massive 80v battery, but it lasts the whole time it takes me to do my 140-foot driveway that is oversized with room for 4 cars in front of the garage. Yes, it does need to recharge before I could do my neighbor's driveways or they borrow it, but mine is done.  

 I love that all the controls are on the top panel, easy to see and operate when needed. It is so easy now to move the chute to the side I need with a push of a button instead of having to manually crank it. I never used the reverse on my old one since the control was down below the top panel and it was just as easy to pull it backward.

 I never realized how nice it is to have an LED light on a snowblower until you have one. Doing snow before or after work when it isn’t light out, can be a little challenging at times, but this LED light is bright and does help me see what I am doing and where I am going.

 The wheels maybe the only thing you need to maintain with keeping enough air pressure in them, but they work great and go thru the snow with no issues. Make sure you adjust the height of the plates on the sides of the chute to get it to the right height before you start using it. Being flat on the ground maybe a little too low depending on the area you are trying to clear.

 So far, I am not disappointed in this purchase and well worth the money.
