I
had a couple of knives like this and never used them and gave them away, but I
started to let my meat rest after cooking it and cutting it all up before serving
it and needed a really good knife to make this easier and really liked the look
and Damascus steel on this one.
This
is a very sharp knife and between this and the tender meat, I am using now, this
cuts like its cutting butter. The handle is easy to hold, fits in my hand well and is long enough I have no issues holding it and using it.
I
love that this comes with a blade sheath as well. That really helps protect the
edge on this as well as my fingers will be stored in a drawer. I wish I had
a magnetic plate to store this on but I don’t.
With
this as I do all my good knives, I always hand wash this and dry this knife
right after using it to prevent any rust or extra wear and tear on it, so it
should last a very long time. I also only use a sharpening block on my good
knives as well to keep them as sharp as possible. I have a feeling this one
won’t need sharpening for a while.
If
you are buying this as a gift, it does come in a very nice box that will work
well for giving it to them in it or wrapping it.
