The Wolf Moon® Seafood Tool Kit is one of those things that you don’t really think about needing until you do. I just finished have a crab leg dinner at my son’s house over the weekend and that is the first time I drew blood and was bleeding while I ate dinner.
The spines on these legs were something to talk about and without the correct tools, we have no choice but to break open the crab legs shell by hand or with a salad fork. He did have two older crackers, but there were seven of us.
He also had no lobster forks and the salad fork was the smallest we had, so again you had to break the whole leg apart to get to all the meat. The melted butter, in a small cereal bowl and not a sauce cup. Yes, it all worked, but not very friendly or easily.
A couple of days later, I thought, that isn’t happening anymore and looked and researched for some seafood utensils and found these.
This still isn’t enough for seven, but plenty for the wife and me to take with us if needed next time. This kit comes with two crackers, 4 forks, and 2 sauce cups. The crackers are made from a die cast zinc alloy and the forks and cups are made from stainless steel and shouldn’t bend like my son’s salad forks did. Yea, he had to rebend them all when we finished.
These all look and feel of a high-end seafood toolkit and should last for some time since you don’t use these every day. The crackers are a little on the heavy side and feel very well constructed and at 6 inches in length, fit very well and comfortable in your hand and that is a good thing because it takes forever to eat crab legs. The forks do have a spoon end and a tine end to make it easier to pull the meat out of those tiny hard to reach places in the shell.
Overall, wonderful, well-built seafood toolkit that everyone should have on hand unless you just hate seafood and will never have a problem like I did.
