The Winchance Solar LED Pathway Lights Stainless Steel Solar Stake Lights are a wonderful addition to my yard. They not only are well built but look good and are very stylish in their stainless steel color. They are thin, sleek and elegant in their design and look. Very high-end looking pathway lights.
These pathway lights are about 15 inches tall with the clear plastic light lens covering a LED light being about 3 inches of that and the rest the stainless steel pole. This also comes with a 5-inch ground stake to place this into the ground with. I am a little disappointed that this stake is plastic and not metal like the rest of the pole is. I have has bad experiences in the past with the plastic threads breaking or stripping out when the light was hit or bumped into on some old lights I had. Was always replacing the spikes in order to get them to stand up after that happened.
These couldn’t be any easier to install, operate and use. So you assemble these by screwing on the stake to the bottom of these and then there is an on/off switch on the bottom of the solar panel housing that you switch to auto, push these into the ground where you want to place them and you are done and they just do what they do. They will charge during the day using the sun and will turn themselves on when it gets dark out and light up the area for about 8-10 hours (if fully charged after 6-8 hours in the sun).
These do still charge when there isn’t a bright and sunny day out and will still last thru the night on most days with a cloudy or partial cloudy day. Bad rainy and dark days, maybe not so much.
These also are a little different than most pathway lights, as you can actually replace the rechargeable battery in these if needed down the road with a 1.2V 250mAh NIMA AAA battery. Batteries in general, only have so long of a life expectancy and recharge so many times before they start to degenerate and slowly stop charging or lasting as long and will eventually need to be replaced in order to prolong the use and life of the pathway light.
I bought these originally for my driveway (6 down each side) because it’s blacktop and 130 foot long and it’s a little hard to see at night but have since given each of my son’s 6 of these for their walkways into their new houses that had no landscape lights or anything at all. They do look great at both houses now.
These lights, for 12 of them, work really great, light up the walkway or driveway very well and are a great value for the price. These work so much better than the old solar lights I used to have.
