For
as small as this is, it works well. Nice looking box that can be installed on
about anything or just sat on something. You do need to supply a 9-volt battery
to get it working but can be up and running in a couple of minutes.
The
the box is made of plastic, has the word dog on the front top of it, is waterproof,
and has one knob on the front that is used to control the distance this will detect
a bark from a dog. There are 3 settings and a test mode. The settings range
from 15, 30 to 50 feet, and the test mode are for checking that the microphone
and speaker are working. If they are not, they are either defective or you need
a new battery.
Not
sure if it will stop a neighbor’s dog from barking or not, but my son’s two
dogs don’t like it. They are within the med range (30 feet) and just turn and
want to run inside when they hear it. They don’t recommend you leave it turned
on all the time and to only have it on when you want to stop the barking. That
will help from desensitizing the dog and letting them get used to it. This may
also not work on an older dog, one that is hard of hearing or is just kind of
mean and set in their ways.
