Love this plasma lighter from OIIKURY. Love that is electronic and rechargeable. No more throwaway butane lighters or needing lighter fluid for me.

In an hour or so of charging, I have a lighter that will last for weeks or months for me. I don’t really need a lighter any more since I quit smoking, but everyone needs one at some point to light something.

Love that it is wind resistant, love that it displays the battery level and the number of times you used it and that the battery is low and needs to be recharged after about 80-120 uses. That’s a big range, but it really depends on how long you leave it turned on each time you use it. What else can you ask for in a lighter?

The lid on this is easy to open and close and the on button (they call home button) is easy to push and use when needed and doesn’t work when the lid is closed to stop you from accidentally igniting it when it’s in you pocket or not intended to be used.

You should let this drain pretty low before recharging it as it does have about a 500 recharging window before it won’t really hold a charge again. This could be a lifetime for me or a couple of years if you charge it all the time.

Xuliyme Automatic Dog&Cat Feeder Auto Pet Food Dispenser with LCD Display

This is very easy to put together and program. You can set up the 4 meal times anytime you want and adjust the amount of food that gets dispensed each meal time.

I got this because I have 12 cats and it seems some don’t get food or eat until late at night or early in the morning when the other cats are asleep. This way they get fed and have food available when they need it and I am in bed. Also works great is I don’t come home on time or not at all.

You can record something on it and it will play it when it dispenses the food, but I see that more of a gimmick than really helpful, as it’s not that loud and I don’t think they hear it most of the time.

Works flawlessly so far, now I have to remember to fill the main container before it runs out of food. Still trying to figure out how long that food lasts before it needs to be refilled. I guess a nice to have would be to have a clear window strip on the side so I can see how much food is left in the holding tank?

Yelomin 20000mAh Portable Outdoor Waterproof Mobile Power Bank

For a 20,000 mAh power bank and throw in solar charging if needed and a flashlight, well worth the price and cheaper than a lot of power banks that don’t have these extra features.

I know the solar charging is for the last resort, emergency, but still nice to have if you are ever in that position. The IP54 rating I thought could have been a little better, but it still works as it. With exposed plug ports and such, I can see why it not higher. There are covers on the USB ports and they are a little hard to open/close, but they are not watertight.   

This like most big batteries do take a while to fully charge (7-8 hours) but also lasts a very long time as well. I can charge my Samsung Galaxy S6 5 times before I need to recharge this power pack.

The case itself is made more for outside as it is a hard-plastic silicone material and not metal like a lot of the others. There are two USB ports so you can charge two devices at the same time if needed. That is pretty much standard nowadays.

Overall, I like it. Does what it was made for and lasts forever.

FENIFOX Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo

Bought the wife a new wireless keyboard and mouse after the last one died. Thought all keyboards and mice are the same. They are not. Wife has been asking for her old ones back now. Well, that isn’t happening, so I found this one from Fenifox and I think I found another winner.

Love these USB plugin keyboards/mice combos. No more syncing and pushing buttons to get them to connect. Easy to unplug, take with you if needed and plug back in.

Love that this one is silver (matches the old one we had) and that this is a full keyboard and not a small or mini keyboard. The keys are easy to push, doesn’t make a lot of clicking sounds and there is no lag or missed keystrokes when keys are pushed.

This won’t be used on a Mac, but it is nice to have options if needed as with a click of a couple of keys you can switch between Windows and Mac system if needed.

Love that it has LED lights for things like, Scroll lock, Cap lock, and Num lock. I hate not knowing if they are on when I am trying to key something in like a password that is case sensitive. I do wish it had on-screen popup messages when you turned them on/off, but the lights work about as well.

You will need to supply your own batteries for both the keyboard and mouse as they do not come I the box with it. I use rechargeable batteries and they last forever in these types of devices.

Mt latest mouse would go to sleep to save the battery which is nice but then you had to click a mouse button to wake it up before you could move it and use it, that was a little annoying. This set isn’t like that and I can just jump on and start moving the mouse as soon as I get on. Much nicer. Guess I can see what the wife is talking about now.

Panamalar Smart 1080p WiFi IP Camera with Alexa Voice Control

I have automated my house (lights, plugs & door locks) and have other IP cameras installed but saw this one from Panamalar that is a smart camera and will work with Alexa and my Echo show and had to give it a try.

This has all the features that most security cameras have nowadays with 1080p camera, motion detect, 2 way voice, night vision, WIFI, Phone app, IP65 weatherproofing but the added bonus of working with Alexa. The night vision is only 32 feet and it is has a 110 degree lens, so keep that in mind when you are thinking on where to place this.

The design and look of this is also very nice and stylish. Makes moving the lens very easy compared to others that require a screwdriver or allen wrench. This is mounted with three screws so you will need a drill and screwdriver to mount this. 

This is WIFI and cannot be plugged in using an ethernet cable. You will also need an outlet to supply power to it as well. The power thing it the only downfall, as most people don’t have it where you need to install these cameras. I have looked at solar-powered cameras, but they are still very expensive.

You do need to download the app (Smart Life), set it up and sign up for an account in order to see your videos on your device. You don’t have to use the cloud storage and could use the SD card instead. You will need to buy one, as it is not included. Will support up to 128MB but will overwrite the oldest recordings when it fills up, so you could go smaller if you wish and save some money. I have it connected to my NVR and record everything there on a 1 TB hard drive.

WITHARMOUR Spider Pocket Folding Knife

I keep buying more knives and I have come back to buy another Witharmour knife because I loved the last one I bought. This spider pocket knife looks and feels great.

The blade is 3 inches long with a 4-inch handle, so 7 inches overall. The 440c stainless steel blade is stamped, but I still like it as it is very sharp. It has a finger trigger that is like it is spring loaded (uses ball bearings) that make opening this very easy with a push of your finger and a flip of your wrist. The locking mechanism works very well and is also easy to unlock and close when needed.

Love the little carry carabiner on top and the pocket clip on the side, so you have options if needed on how to carry this.

The handle is a hard plastic G10 handle that looks great but is a little rough on the hands and not smooth but does make it a little easier to hold on to when using it.

Coocheer Universal Drum Throne Stool

I didn’t buy this to play drums, I bought this as a portable seat that I can throw in the trunk of my car and have when and where I need it. Baseball game, soccer game, concert in the park, you name, I have a seat now. It’s small, slightly adjustable and has a much better seat than most portable outside seats do. For a short and fat person that sits on it for an hour, hour and a half at a time, this works fine for me. It looks and feels pretty well built and should last a while.

Wohome TV Soundbar 38-Inch Model S29

My son’s 32” TV was sitting on top of an old sound platform and worked fine for what it was, but now that he has a bigger 60” LED TV, we mounted it on the wall and need to upgrade to a soundbar now.

This one from Wohome is wonderful. Looks great, plays great and sounds great with both speech and music. The bass on it is really good, loud and does what you want from it. Watching movies and shows now is so much better than using the old platform sound system.

The remote works flawless and makes a nice bonus. It is also nice that you can use 5.0 Bluetooth and play music from your phone or tablet thru it as well. One less thing to have to buy.

It is also very nice to have options with the different audio connections available on the back of this. With Optical port, USB Port, RCA plugs, Aux Port and TV Arc (HDMI). You should find something in order to hook this up to just about anything if needed. They throw in an optical cable and stereo (red/white) RCA cable to help get you started and most newer TV’s take both.

If we didn’t already find the studs hanging the TV, it would have taken longer to find the studs to mount this, than it did to mount this, hook it up and get it working. Very simple and very easy.

Now they do say this isn’t compatible with a universal remote and you need to use the one that came with it, but I am going to see if I can get it working with my old Logitech 700 remote anyway and control the TV and soundbar with the same remote. We will see.

Wosports Golf Rangefinder

The specs and price on this look great. I have a couple of other rangefinders, but they are more generic and don’t have features like flag lock and slope adjusting. As a bonus, if you are a hunter or need fog mode, speed mode, or 6x magnification, this has that as well.

I see people complaining about the range on this for flag lock, but the specs only it is good up to 180 yards and it has worked for me about every time. I think when it didn’t work, I couldn’t hold the rangefinder still enough to find it.

At 2.8 inches tall by 4.6 inches long by 1.5 thick, this is pretty small, easy to carry and use and is very portable with the bag that comes with it. The two buttons on top are easy to reach and push when needed and the eyepiece is big enough and easy to adjust when needed as well.

This does come with a CR2-3v battery, the only downside to this rangefinder. I do wish this had a built-in rechargeable battery, but then the cost would go up as well.

Compared the yardage on this to my Garmin G3 and it was only off one time and I think it was hitting the hill in between me and the green and when I redid it, it was right on. My Garmin measures to the center of the green and this one measure to the actual pin, so any difference was the yardage between the two. This is staying in my bag as it is one of the most accurate rangefinders I have had.

Meterk 15Amp 7-1/2" Circular Saw with Laser Guide

My last circular saw got stolen out of my garage, so after some research and reading the good reviews, bought this one from Meterk. The one bad review, I think he either didn’t have the plate tight or doesn’t understand it is movable, so you can adjust the angle of your cut. I have had no problem with the plate being lose.

This is pretty easy to put together and set up before using it and I love that it comes with 2 blades. One has 24 teeth for ripping thru wood and a 40 teeth blade for a finer finish cut needed on plywood or tubing. Not too hard to swap the two out at all with the hex wrench they include for the bolt that holds the blade in place. They also throw in a metal parallel guide for you if the laser guide isn’t enough for you to keep your cut straight (I would use it).

For the price, this actually has a lot of options built into it. With adjustable cutting depth, adjustable cutting angles, double safety switch, and dust outlet (you can hook a vacuum hose to it if needed). They pretty have it all covered. The power cord on this is about 6 feet long and seems pretty well built.

Now for the use and cutting. I used this to cut 4x4 fence posts off the concrete base so I can throw the concrete away and with the 1800w (4700rpm) power of this saw and the 24 teeth blade, had no problem doing it. I had to make four cuts (one on each side) because the depth isn’t deep enough for that, but it sure beats doing it by hand. I also cut a couple of 2x4’s to replace a bad board on my deck and worked just as well on that.

Overall, I like the look, feel, and cut of this saw. My only complaint would be this doesn’t come with a case or bag to store all this when not in use or if I need to transport it someplace else. Not a deal breaker, just a would be nice to have.

JJRC H68 RC Drone 40 MINS Longer Flight Time Quadcopter with 720P Camera

Did that 40 minutes of flight time catch your interest? Mine too. That is really almost 20 minutes of flight time per 1800 mAh battery with the two batteries this comes with. These do take about 2.5 hours to charge each battery unless you have a hobby grade charger, then you can get that down to about an hour each.

It looks like these has brushless motors on it, but it doesn’t These are brushed motors, so let them cool down in between flights (batteries) to make them last longer.

This as a decent 2 MP 720p camera that is adjustable to a point and is mounted on a stabilizer mount that helps take out the jello from your video and it does a pretty good job at it. The video and photos are really, not bad at all.

This drone does have altitude hold, one key take off/land, headless mode and will do flips. That is pretty much standard with most drone these days. What isn’t but starting to be, is the flight path mode. Draw a path on your device screen in the app and the drone will fly that path without any control from you.

This is a decent size drone at about 12 inches and does pretty well in a slight to medium wind. The controls are responsive with no lag and the WIFI seems to stay connected. But with any WIFI signal, it gets weaker the further you get away so when you start to push the 325 feet range on this, you could get some choppy video or a little lag, so keep it a little closer to stop that.

A first for me, they not only give you an extra battery, props, and prop guards, they also throw in an extra set of landing gear. Never seen that before. It will be tough to break these, but you have spares if you do. Nice touch.

W5 Pro Mini PC Intel Atom Z8350 Windows 10 Computer Stick 4GB DDR 64GB eMMC Support 4K HD,Duan Band WiFi,BT 4.2

Every time I travel, I want to take a laptop with me to surf the internet, Facebook, do emails or look up local restaurants or things to do, but with the other carryon stuff I must take, there just isn’t room. This mini PC from Macobox will fix that.

Right out of the box, without any setup changes, this thing just works and does what I need. I already have a few Bluetooth and WIFI keyboards and mice that work with this that I used with my laptop and tablet. With full 64-bit Windows 10 Pro, 4 GB of ram and an Atom Z8350 processor, it handles everything I need to do and is fast enough, I don’t have any problems doing it.

I add a 64 GB SD card to it for storage but also have a 250GB portable SSD drive if I think I may need more room. At home, I add a 7 port USB hub to it to allow for more devices to be plugged into it if needed and this also allows easier access to plug things in and out when the mini PC is plugged into the back of a TV or monitor.  

For those with a 4K monitor or TV, this supports that, and the picture is awesome as well. This will also connect and use either 2.4 or 5 GHz WIFI and I have had no problems with that dropping or coming and going during my use. If you do have bad WIFI, metal walls or allot of things in the way, you could also get ethernet to USB adapter and plug this in if needed.

You do have to plug this into a wall outlet or use a power bank (that works great when traveling) since most TV’s or monitors don’t supply enough power to operate this mini PC on their own, so that can be a problem sometimes. Like any PC, please install virus and Malware software and run it at least once a week.

Overall, just a nice PC stick that just does what it was made for. Whether you are a tech person or just someone that wants to surf the web, this is a good alternative and cheaper way to do what you want to do any place you want to do it.

PUPTECK 12 Pack Dog Squeaky Tennis Air Balls for Pet Training High-Visibility Yellow

Dogs love tennis balls, Pupteck has tennis balls with a squeaky toy inside, very happy dogs and slightly annoyed owner and roommate at times. It’s all good.

These balls are just a little smaller around (2.5”) than normal tennis balls (2.7”) and that does make it a little easier for the dogs to get in their mouths, especially the puppy.

These are made and built almost like normal tennis balls but with the squeaky toy inside. Rubber is a little harder, not much fuzz and is more on the white side then optic yellow, and bounce a little less then the normal ones do.

I think the dogs know it bothers you as they stare you in the eye and just bite down on it to make it squeak on purpose. You know what I am talking about here?

For the price, size of the ball, the quantity you get, the squeaky toys, longevity, and fun to be had by all, well worth the money.

SNAPTAIN A15H Foldable FPV WiFi Drone

***UPDATE 4/20/2019***

After more testing and contacting the seller, the voice control and the flight plan both work as described. One key point not in the manual, to use these the drone needs to be connected and controlled by the App only and not the transmitter. Once the transmitter is connected, that controls the drone and not the app. You need to learn the app and all the buttons and options it has in order to make this easier and go well during your flight. You also need some room and these are not for indoor flying.

***Original Review***
I have a lot of drones and I can tell you this is the first one I have or seen that has voice control and I like it if you want to do the basics in flying it. It works as well as the flight path mode, 3d flips, altitude hold, one button takes off/landing, headless mode and the three speed modes.

This comes with a wide angle (120 degrees) 720p front-facing camera that can be slightly adjusted before your flight. This camera along with the app on your phone or tablet gives you FPV (first person view) so you see what the camera sees. You do have to connect your device to the drone using your device WIFI before being able to see the video from the drone in the app. The app will also save any video or photos you take on your device and not on an SD card.

Love that this folds down from about 12 inches down to about 5. That makes this very portable and easy to carry around with you. It also comes with 2 proprietary batteries 3.7v 800mAh) that take around 90 minutes each to charge and that gives you 15-16 minutes of flight time between the two batteries. Let the motors cool down in between flight to make them last longer. The charger light turns red when you plug the battery into it, then turns off when you plug it into a USB port to charge it and then comes back on when it is done charging.

You can fly this with just the controller if you like if you don’t want to use the camera and you will get a little longer flight time but no videos or photos. You can also fly this using just your device (phone, tablet) and use the voice commands and on-screen controls but I always find this a little harder than it looks and prefers the controller sticks under my thumbs.

The voice control, I couldn’t get to work. I could see in the app that it recognized what I said, but the drone didn’t respond or do anything. Unless there is more too it that isn’t documented, this part is a bust.

This is a little on the light side and does get pushed a little by the wind unless in high speed, then it seems to do better when outdoors. The range on this is about 300 feet but that may be pushing it as the WIFI may start getting broken and you may get choppy video before that. If you do get too far away and lose your WIFI signal, this like any drone can fly away and never be seen again.  

The controls are pretty responsive and almost too quickly with no lag and flying of this is pretty smooth and a decent little flier. I think with works for both the beginner and professional.

I have a box Ultrasonic cleaning machine that I use for my rings and wife’s jewelry, but it is too small for much more or bigger items. This one from Cotify is not only portable but also works in places that I can get more stuff or bigger items in. In a bowl, sink or bucket, this thing will work and clean and disinfect your items from fruit to clothes.

This is small enough to fit in your travel bag, suitcase or backpack when traveling and is very easy to use.

With only needing from .5 gallons to 1.5 gallons of water and a little soap or detergent, plug it in, set the timer and rinse the soap out once done and you are good to go.

This cleans at the microscopic level and gets the stuff you can’t see, so it’s working even if you don’t think it is. Put it in a stainless-steel or glass bowl and you will hear it working. It may not take off and clean heavy dirt and stains like your washing machine, but if you want clean, sterilized and disinfected clothes after a light wearing or have some delicate’s that need to be cleaned, this will work.

Don’t want pesticides and chemicals on your fruits and vegetables, throw this in a bowl of water with them and they will be gone.

Picowe 250W Portable Generator

I carry around a 20,000 mAh battery pack with me at all times and a lot of times that isn’t enough or I have bigger things that won’t run off of it, so I bought this portable generator by Picowe. This thing is small (10.2”x3.9”x6.2”) but powerful enough to run just about everything I need.

If the power goes out, I can run my laptop, CPAP machine, charge my phone, run my weather station or run a small tv. That is a big bonus in my book. Works just as well if you are camping or traveling and don’t have access to a plug.

This does take about a full 8 hours to charge (plugged into the wall) but with three charging options (solar (panel not included), wall socket, car charger) you can charge this pretty much any place you are.

Testing this, I got about 8 hours of running my laptop that is rated at 50 watts before needing to recharge this generator. That is pretty good in my opinion. My CPAP machine is rated a little higher so I should get 5-6 hours out of it if needed but I only get about 6 hours of sleep anyway, so that is fine.

This does have 1 AC outlet (normal wall outlet), 3 DC outlets (small round device plugs) and 2 USB outlets (one at 2A, one at 1A). So, the only downfall of this generator that I have found, is there isn’t at least 2 AC outlets to allow me to run multiple devices at the same time without a power strip or extension cord. Love to have my fan on while I sleep with my CPAP machine on.

A great little device that is very portable and will find even more uses for the longer I have it for. In the box is the generator, AC charger cable, Car charger cable, Cigarette Lighter Adapter, Instructions and comes with a 12-month warranty.

Mini Drones for Kids and Adults, EACHINE E016H 2.4Ghz 6-Axis RC Nano Quadcopter with Altitude Hold Function for Beginner, 3D Flips,Headless Mode and Extra Batteries Easy to Fly

I love these mini-drones when its cold or raining outside and this Eachine E016H is no different. Love the neon green color, love that the props are covered and this thing will bounce off of things when flown indoors and won’t hurt you if you grab it or if a little kid or animal grabs it (my cats hate drones).

This has everything like most drones these days with altitude hold, flips, headless mode, one button take off/land, 3-speed settings and as an added bonus, comes with two 350 mAh batteries.

You get about 7-8 minutes of flight time for each battery (about 45 min to charge each battery), so almost 16 minutes between the two batteries. Please allow the motors to cool in between batteries to help make the motors last longer. These brushed motors that come on these toy grade drones aren’t made to last and will need to be replaced at some point. Letting them cool down helps prolong this as heat is not good for any motor.

With the altitude hold, this is a great drone for beginners in low-speed mode but in high-speed mode, it’s a fun little flier that even the most experienced fliers will enjoy. Big difference between low and high speeds with the pitch, roll, and speed of this mini-drone. 

I did have a problem I thought at first that it seemed to not fly and lift off the ground, but turned out the battery was about dead when I first got and everything was fine after fully charging the battery.

Syma X5A-1 Mirace RC Headless Quadcopter Toys RTF 2.4Ghz 6-Axis Gyro Drone

This X5A-1 drone from Syma and all the other clones of the X5 are great beginner drones and can take a pretty good beating to a point. If you hit a tree, pole or building at full speed it might not last, but normal light to moderate crashes, these just keep on going. The brushed motors on these and all toy grade drones are not made to last and will need replaced at one point or another. Letting them cool down between flights (like when you swap to the second battery this one comes with) for a few minutes really does help make them last longer.

This drone is about 12 inches in size, comes with extra battery, props and prop guards and toy grade transmitter that will get you about 100 of distance with this drone. If you want more, then upgrade your transmitter to a “Jumper” and get more. If not, then keep it close enough not to drop your WIFI connection between the transmitter and the drone so it doesn’t fly away and get lost.

These X5 are pretty good, but light, and with more than a light wind may struggle in the wind at low speed but isn’t too bad at high speed. Same with the speed and pitch.

This does come with two (2) 350 mAh batteries with the JST connectors on them. I am sure you could find some bigger batteries to get a longer flight time for this, but again, longer flight times means more wear and tear on the motors. Each battery will get you about 6-8 minutes of flight time since there isn’t a camera but also depends on how many times you do flips, speed and wind and they do take about an hour to charge each one depending on your charger or how you charge them. Using just the USB plug into a PC will take longer than plugging it into the wall with your cell phone charger. You will also need to supply two (2) AA batteries to operate the transmitter, as they are not included.

Overall, a wonderful drone if you just want to fly, without altitude hold and camera and just enjoy doing it. A great beginner drone but does have a little learning curve without the altitude hold or great flier for the more advanced and just want to have fun.

PiAEK External CD DVD Drive USB C USB 3.0 Dual Port Portable CD DVD /-RW Drive,High Speed Data Transfer External Optical Drives for Windows10/MacBook/Desktop/Laptop

Almost none of the laptops today come with a CD/DVD player, optical drive or burner anymore and sometimes it’s just needed. This external drive from PiAEK fixes that. 

This comes with both a USB 3.0 plug as well as a USB C plug and that is great because now I have options on what I can use this on and speeds I need to move stuff fast. It’s also nice as both of these cables fit and get stored in the bottom of the drive when not in use, so they are stored out of the way. Makes this very easy to transport and carry around.

This is plug and play and requires no drivers or software to run and operate on anything I have used it on so far. Mainly windows 10 and 7.

With 24X CD read/write and 8X DVD read-write and the 5 Gbps data transfer with the USB C, you can move some data back and forth pretty quick with this drive or backup your data if needed in a decent amount of time.

Overall, just a nice portable external CD/DVD/-RW drive that has options and is there if you need it.
