The Ampeak inverter is something I should have bought when I first started tailgating at the football games. This means I can take and use something with a 110v plug or a USB plug now in my SUV. Now I can keep something hot now when needed and I can charge my phones, laptop or tablet when needed.
This thing is about the size of my hand (5.9” x 4.44” x 2.19”) and lightweight but feels pretty well built and should last as long as I take care of it. This is small enough to fit in the glove box or center console when not in use or also very portable if I need to take it with me in another car or vehicle.
Now that I have this, I am finding more and more things I can use this with when needed. Using and filling an air mattress up when camping in a tent or on the floor of a hotel, sleeping in the back of the van, truck or RV is a breeze when you can plug a pump in. I can also now use my laptop on long trips now and just plug it in when needed. Also helps keep the kids entertained and interested as they can play, watch a movie or show without the battery dying before the end.
I love taking food to the game but hot food is always hard to keep hot without plugging something in and now I can. I can also charge a couple of phones as well at the same time if needed with the two USB ports and two 12v AC plugs on the front of this.
I really like that it comes with both the battery clamps and the cigarette lighter plug so I have options on how to use and plug this in if needed. For our safety, it also comes with two replaceable 35 amp fuses, a cooling fan, an audible alarm and will auto shut down in case there is ever a problem.
Overall, this is a great buy and works as described. I may have to buy a bigger one sometime so I can run more stuff at the same time if needed but for now, this was a good choice and works well for what I needed it for.
